Introduction

Hello!

I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with double majors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Spring 2020. In these trying times, I am thankful to be offered a position as a Software Engineer and am currently working at Electronic Arts.

I relish in the process of tackling hard problems and finding the best solution possible. Learning about software development in classes was never enough for me as I sought to apply my knowledge on real world problems. Coupling an insatiable curiosity with an aptitude for picking up new skills quickly, I have a wide array of experiences from back end development to cross platform mobile and desktop app development.

On my own time, I am currently working on a chatbot hosted on telegram. My grand vision for it would be to train it to the point where it can reliably imitate my speech patterns. Hopefully, it will be able to pass the Turing Test with my friends and family!!

The guy with too many interests

I often joke that the issue with free time for me is deciding what to do from a long list of interests.

Some of the things I love to do are:

  • Travelling and Photography: Check out my photos at my 500px Profile
  • Cooking and baking: Growing up, I was a huge fan of Masterchef America and Australia and I love whipping up traditional Singapore dishes and fusion ones from time to time. A Youtube channle I love to follow recipes from is Cooking Tree
  • Basketball: I have played competitively from elementary all the way to high school, but now I just play pickup for fun
  • Gaming: I'm a huge indie game fan and I love the satisfaction I get from discovering a great game. Some of my favorites are:
  • Making music: I learned the piano when I was young and I recently picked up the saxophone after being inspired by my favorite saxophonist, John Coltrane!
  • Writing: Being able to express one thoughts effectively is an important skill and I have committed to start writing more! Check out my Medium profile
  • Learning French and Japanese: I do daily exercises on Duolingo and I find it's the best place to start for complete beginners.
